Motivation is everything
A degree in International Business Management from the University of Sunderland, and then the direct entry at SELLBYTEL. That’s how Alexander, 28, from Nuremberg, joined us in June 2015. In our latest interview he tells us what his time with us has been like so far.
Alexander, what made you choose SELLBYTEL as an employer?
My studies were very international. After a semester abroad in New York City and an internship with the estate agency Engels & Völkers in London, I soon knew that my international degree should be followed by an international position. I found this opportunity at SELLBYTEL.
And how have you developed in your time with us?
I started within the SELLBYTEL Group with our recruiting specialist RIGHTHEAD. I was responsible for recruiting executive personnel in the banking sector.
A few months later, I was asked whether I would like to become Account Manager for one of the SELLBYTEL Group’s top clients. Of course I took this opportunity and I thank our management for the trust placed in me.
In March 2017, I had the chance to become the new Global Sales Manager for our support expert HELPBYCOM.
What are your tasks in this new role?
As the Global Sales Manager at HELPBYCOM I am responsible for the acquisition of new clients. We focus on clients that are in need of first class solutions in the service and support areas.
Do you also encounter challenges?
Yes, of course. The market is constantly changing right now. Employees who were previously responsible for admin tasks in the help desk area are now increasingly replaced by artificial intelligence. When using, for example, solutions for bot technologies, it is extremely important to offer the client the technology that best matches their business. This change will increasingly accompany us in the coming years, so we will adapt constantly in order to be able to provide our partners with the best solutions in the future as well.
What personal characteristics would you say have accelerated your quick development?
I am always willing to take advice from my colleagues. On top of that I think personal development is only possible, when you leave your comfort zone. To me these are the decisive factors for my success.
Do you have goals for your future with HELPBYCOM?
Definitely. We want to develop HELPBYOM within the SELLBYTEL Group and continuously advance our brand awareness. Besides, I want us to be perceived even more as an independent expert for excellent service and support solutions.
And finally, how do you like to spend your free time?
I love spending time with my family and going hiking in the mountains.
