Anything is possible!
Our colleague Daniel Losert from Weimar, Germany, has shown a pretty impressive development in his more than ten years with the SELLBYTEL Group. After the 32-year old had originally started as a Technical Support Specialist for an American internet company in Erfurt in 2005, after one year he became Team Leader already. In 2007 he took over a new project in the FMCG sector and in 2010 another one in the media area, also in Erfurt. In 2015 he finally became Operations Manager for the same client at our newly founded location Leipzig. In this interview he tells us all about his eventful career with us.
Daniel, what does you current role look like?
I manage all of our more than 200 employees in Erfurt as well as Leipzig with a strong focus on their satisfaction and motivation. Moreover, I take care of the operational achievement of our business and client KPIs on a daily basis.
That sounds like quite a bit of responsibility … What is it you particularly like about your role?
I love the collaboration with my team and exceeding our goals together. I am also very much inspired by the constant change in the project. This makes me find new ways again and again.
And what would you say are your key qualities in your role?
I have always been very motivated and attach great value to openness. In addition to that, I am a very enthusiastic person that knows how to inspire others. Laughing is very important, too. I am convinced that especially my passion, my commitment and my goal orientation are the reasons for my success. My personal motto has always been: anything is possible!
So you probably deal with challenges in a very positive way?
Yes, for sure. Challenges are like gifts to me that enable me to improve steadily. I always approach challenges being motivated and taking on each of them. Respectively I have collected many valuable skills over the years and I mostly know very well which one I have to use.
What would you advise people looking for a similar career within the company?
Remain true to yourself and meet the expectations you have towards others for yourself too. And, be patient with yourself as well as others.
And finally, how do you like to spend your free time?
I love spending my time with my wife, the rest of my family and my friends. I also love being outside and making barbecues. Especially when it comes to the latter, patience and consistency are crucial to achieve fantastic results – just like in my job. (Laughs)
