Batten & Company study: how purchasing managers estimate prices and conditions

Remuneration models have become more and more complex in the past recent years. In a current study, our affiliate Batten & Company examined how purchasing managers estimate the price and condition system of their suppliers.

The most important results are: trade managers require a simplification of the existing price and condition systems. In their opinion suppliers frequently change their condition system, but without any appreciable improvement. Instead IT compatibility, a clear structure, performance equity and a strategically oriented price and condition system are considered to be factors of success.
