A renowned German private health insurer wanted to decrease new cancellation costs that had arisen stemming from a change in insurance contract law. The new legal regulations required that minimum insurance protection for both in- and outpatients be guaranteed, even for late or defaulting payers.
MEDEXPERTS, the SELLBYTEL Group’s health care specialist, took over management of the insurer’s accounts receivable department. The challenge for MEDEXPERTS lay in managing the company’s relationship with affected insurance customers and prompting them to make overdue payments, thereby reducing the costs incurred by policy termination.

The German private insurer commissioned SELLBYTEL subsidiary MEDEXPERTS to set up an efficient accounts receivable management. MEDEXPERTS specializes in individual services in the heath market segments pharmacy, health care, medical technology, veterinary medicine and plant protection for the SELLBYTEL group.
The goal was to communicate with defaulting customers in order to convince them to consistently make timely payments. Thanks to the effective accounts receivable management process the MEDEXPERTS team of specialists set up, there was a marked increase in the rate of payments of outstanding premiums, thereby significantly improving the private insurer’s performance.
