Saskia, could you please tell us more about your career at SELLBYTEL?
I started in 2015 as a Customer Service Specialist for our client, a leading pay TV provider. That was totally new territory for me, but thanks to the great onboarding process and lots of support from colleagues, I was able to progress rapidly.
After only half a year, I got the chance to prove my skills and capabilities as a supervisor and another six months later, I took over the role as a Team Manager.
Wow, that’s a fast development! What exactly does your current role look like?
Now I work as a Program Manager and am responsible for the operational, as well as the recruitment management, for the same project where I started two and a half years ago. From the smallest to the largest details, I know the daily business inside out.
This gives me the perfect opportunity to be the link between the client and our employees. I enjoy being a trustworthy and competent contact for our clients and my team and contributing to our successful partnership in this way.
And what do you like best in your role?
Every day, I have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. I am very committed, I like to stay involved and contribute my skills to be a part of SELLBYTELs success story. I am very grateful for that.
What do you think has enabled you to move forward professionally?
I don’t sit and wait for the moment when my obstacles become overwhelming. I rather face them proactively. And I know that I’m never alone. “Teamwork makes the dream work” is a true saying, indeed!
Besides, I never take anything for granted. I’m always trying to see the bigger picture and I’m constantly looking for ways to improve myself. From time to time even in rather unconventional ways.
What is especially important to you in your professional life?
To avoid a standstill and positively influence my environment whenever I can.
Finally, how do you like spending your free time?
I am a passionate writer of concert reports, reviews for albums and many other topics. To relax, I also like listening to academic lectures on YouTube – my absolute favorite is Harald Lensch, the fascinating German scientist.
